Q1: Why are bird’s nests so expensive?

A1: We do not take bird’s nests every day. If each cooking involves 3 grams of bird’s nests taken twice monthly for optimum result, it will only cost us a total of RM 30.00 (US 8.00), the price of an average hotel meal in Malaysia.

Q2: Isn’t it cruel to harvest bird’s nests, thereby ripping the swiftlets of their homes?

A2: Bird’s nests contain glycoprotein that only remains fresh for about 4 months under the wet cave environment. If the bird’s nests are not harvested, they will rot causing pollution resulting in the bird’s nests’ spots being saturated. When that happens, the swiftlets will hesitate to make a new nest again in the same chaotic spot. If every bird’s nest’s spot is left to deteriorate, then there will not be any clean spot for the swiftlets to make new nests.

Q3: Why should we take bird’s nests when there’s protein in other foods?

A3: Bird’s nests nutritional values complement almost any type of health food. Besides, unprocessed or processed bird’s nests will never rot for life under dry environment unlike all foods. As such, its nutrition deterioration, qualities devaluation, bacteria infections, toxic formation and any other negative effects have never ever happen in bird’s nests during its history of commercial consumption. Bird's nests contain glycoprotein that is easily absorbed by our body system.

Q4: It is risky to buy bird’s nests, as a faked bird’s nest does not differ much from a genuine one?
